![]() ![]() US aircraft manufacturer Boeing has won a victory in a long-running dispute with European rival Airbus. The World Trade Organization has reversed on appeal a ruling that Boeing received some state aid to help build its newest aircraft, the 777X. "The WTO has rejected yet another of the baseless claims the European Union has made," Boeing said in a statement. http://www.bbc.com/news/business-41152544 A good deal to Boeing. ![]()

Isn't Airbus just a beggar, panhandling money from European governments? Isn't government money the only reason for Airbus' existence? Who are they to claim that Boeing received some government money that benefited the 777X project?
If they did receive government money, and they do receive an obscene amount because of their participation in the government shakedown scheme known as the United Launch Alliance, I'm sure it's firewalled from the commercial side of Boeing.

And Boeing has been subsidized. "The subsidies for Boeing have been paid to beat Airbus", as the US state of Washington openly admitted. Regarding this outcome Boeing does not have to pay it back. Trump was bullying the WTO and it worked.
