Dear L/SH3 Subsimer

Longer time ago to bring us important good news here.

The problem „L/SH3 show only black screen… but with sound“ (only with Widescreen Mods) is solved.

If you got this problem do this:

1. Deactivate every Widescreen-GUI Mod by JSGME
2. Start SH3 in original display size (Format 4:3)…
3. Go to game options > graphic > and check/change setting “SYNCHRON/V-SYNC” to ACTIV !
4. Save new setting and leave the game
5. Reactivate the Widescreen-GUI Mod in JSGME and start the game again

That should solve the problem, in every Windows version and with every graphic card driver version.

I hope this finaly is the solution for all who report this specific issue in the past.
(Once again thanks to TheBerbster who bring the german community to this!)

Copying this from main SHIII forum to the LSH specific thread

ello folks! After a very long time I have come back to SHIII and gone out on patrol again using LSH2015. One thing I noticed though is that when you pause things, the screen gets fairly obscured with a big black/red bar besides the words game paused.

In my memory vanilla SHIII didn't have that and just said the words. Now I know it is not necessarily 100% realistic to pause and still be able to do things but for example I would like to be able to pause and go through the recognition manual without being too hurried (I like the fact that there are many new ships ad it has expanded a lot though!)

I attempted a google and a forum search on how to modify the pause screen but didn't find the answer, hence this post. Is there a easy way for me to edit this or is it "hardcoded" into the LSH mod?

Greetings! I just bought a new laptop basically just so I could play SH3.

Right now i run GWX just fine, but I was just wondering how well my system will handle this mod.

SH3 (Steam) - GWX
HP15 Windows 10 x64
AMD A10 2.5ghz 8GB RAM

Your system will cope ok with those specifications.
I assume your gpu is 2gb?
Follow my tutorials from my signature and you will be up and running quickly.

Not sure where this should be posted, so I'm gonna start by just asking.

Once I have it downloaded, how would I go about installing LSH while I already have GWX installed. Would I need to start a new campaign? Would I need to completely uninstall SH3 and reinstall?

An interesting one
This what I would do if it where me.
Go to C:\Documents\SH3
Make a copy of the SH3 folder.
Uninstall SH3 completely including the same game folder or delete it if still showing.
Use a registry cleaner and then reboot your system.

Install SH3.Installation path examples C:\GWX
As soon as the installation is completed make a copy of it and rename the path to for example and C:\LSH3 make sure the path is different to the other one.
This should work as at this point there are no saved game folders created.

You can make another copy as a back up unmodded if you wish.

If you are running Windows 10 both of your installion SH3.exe will need to be set set to compatibility Windows 7.
Run all applications as administrators.

You now run install 1 GWX and go to the naval academy and it will install your SH3 save game folder.
Go to where you saved your old SH3 folder and copy and paste the data folder to the new SH3 folder.
You can now install GWX and everything else you previously had when you are ready to do so.

Install LSH3-2015 as per my tutorial instructions.
When you go to the naval academy it will create your new V15 save game folder.
You should now have 2 independent games running.

Then I probe this..
But I would like to know if it is possible to have big tools like GWX or Magui 3.4ws..(for example )
My eyes difficult read with little tools

I am not aware of any larger tools available for LSH3-2015.
My suggestion would be to take a copy of the GWX or Magui mouse cfg file and experiment with it in LSH3 after making a back up copy of the mouse cfg file first.
If things do not work out you can always restore the original LSH3 file again.

Hi all,

My current gaming rig is getting long in the tooth, so I took the plunge, ordered the components and hopefully will have a new machine built late this coming week.

I am running LSH III from a Steam install on my current machine. Once I have Steam installed on my new rig, can I just copy over from the old machine my LSH III folders to it?

LSH3-2015 is not compatible with STEAM.
If you are already running a STEAM conversion I can see no reason why you cannot copy everything over.

Yes, I am running the Steam Conversion on my old machine. I will try copying the files over once I have the new machine up and running.
