Finding the typhoon?

I beat that mission by detecting the two escort subs. I snapshotted both of them and sent a MOSS in their general direction. I then turned away and waited for about 4 mins. I heard three explosions I hit both the escorts and the Typhoon was also sunk.

I dont know if I just got luck and hit it or if the escorts fired tops at my Moss active and they came back and hit them but it worked. v
