looks nice. the ocean in this game is one of the best i've seen and i enjoy that vessels cast 3 dimensional waves. however there always feels like a disconnect between the sub and the ocean.

is it possible to introduce some translucency to the water so you can see parts of the sub/vessel underneath the water? right now the water edge just kind of flatly collides against the sub.

You have right, I noticed the same issue. Not a big deal but it will be nice. SH offers this.

the engine supports translucency we just toned it down, you don't see translucent water in photos of submarines generally, of course this is very subjective opinion

Yes but here near no any transparency.
Here is example from SHV:

Looks a lot of better (and it depends on the kind of ocean/sea).

I know, it's classic example of the "reality is unrealistic" or "reality is boring" trope, thus the IMO exagerrated translucency on the SH screen

as I said it is subjective and down to personal preferences
