Understanding sensor information in signature analysis
Greetings!
I am having difficulty understanding exactly what the numbers represent and how to use them for OWNSHIP vs COMP in signature analysis. I find the manual not very clear. Can somebody give an example of how you'd use the active, passive, towed, etc, numbers? How do the numbers (positive vs negative) translate to something I can take action on? And I really don't understand what negative numbers mean... Thanks! |

The ownship numbers are how well you are HEARING the enemy. The passive is all the time (hull mounted and towed array if it is deployed) but the active only if you go active.
The bottom set of numbers is how well the identified enemy will hear you on passive and active (only if they go active). They will pick you up at about a 10 and can track you afterwards down to a zero. I believe the active sonar is wayyyy too powerful in this game so far. |
