That leads me to a question about universities in general.
Who decides, and what are the criterias, for something to become "studyable"? (

)

This question arose the first time when I originially stumbled over "Gender studies". How come that the places that should be intellectually superior, and a guiding beacon, actually offer "studies" like this?
I mean, one must not be very smart to see how ridiculous it is, or am I wrong?
