Yes, funny how at times the results mimic the actual encounters, to a degree.

No idea where those DD's came from. I didn't add them, did not see them in the campaign layers. Wondering if were escorts that finally caught up after getting separated somehow? or does the game just spawn escort types to hunt when other units report you?

Side note, I've added nearly all merchants from FOTRS to RSRD for TMO, also added Kaga, Agaki, Aoba a few others, works great.I renamed them , so all are now listed as _______ Maru" in roster and show up as so in the rec manual. Although I am suspecting the Tonan Maru is causing CTD. Have to test later.

Would not it have been more sensible to adjust the RSRD campaign to FortU, especially since all of the ships in it are the largest capital of these great modes?!?

If then FortsU is finished, one could add your work and extension to RSRDC as a plugin... only once such a thought.
