not sure. I would guess "DOUBLE" in this context it means to turnaround 180"?
old term slang? maybe some military/navy peeps might know? I forget how poor the early subs were in game! 5 torps and some duds! lol |

In most militaries the term double means fast as possible!

I am only speaking from my experience in the military. Double quick, double march, double speed references in layman terms... move your ass!
I do know this. When you make an attack in the game, the destroyers make a straight path to your last location. So you want to get out of the area as soon as possible. I can see why "double" could mean 180degrees. You don't want to zig zag and double too much. Your objective is to get out of the possible detection area as soon as possible.
