@eddie I'm all for bringing Ripley back for example in Blomkamp's Alien, which may or may not get made.

But not in this Scott's current trilogy.

Did somebody just say- "trilogy"...?

[gulp]

Oh-oh.

As long as Covenant is no miraculous U-turn on the course set by Prometheus, this is no good news in my ears.

Yup, one or two movies after Covenant. No one's quite sure whether Prometheus counts.

Prometheus was supposed to be the prequel to Aliens wasn't it. So Ripley shouldn't be in it, just as she shouldn't in this one if it's a prequel continuation.

But then again..... Aliens isn't Aliens without Ripley.... young or old.

Sure, it's a new Alien film. Not hyped, but interested.

Premiere was yesterday in the UK, first reaction on twitter is positive though this is what an 'ALIEN fan' (admin of AvPG) said:

However, it's brisk as ****. This is Ridley chopping his film up like he did Prometheus. And the way the Alien's are handled...I wouldn't say it ruined the film for me but I'm surprised I didn't smash my face in with some facepalms.
