Game crashes regularly, I need your help

Hello people.
I thought this would be easy, but aparently it is not.
Some of you may have read my trouble with Living Silent Hunter, about the game crashing as I try to load the missions, or as I try to play a fresh mission without a savegame. It kept crashing.

I downloaded GWX gold now and the same crap is happening.
At first it worked fine, no problem. Then literally overnight the game started to act up.
First, I tried to change my flotilla and start from a new base and the game crashed int he loading screen.
Restarted the PC and the game, started from Kiel, crashed again.
Time to disable some mods.
It worked! And as I was marching home, the game crashed without warning. What the hell is wrong and how can I fix this?

I have a question.
I could play the game without disk from the beginning, so can I skip that step?
And I cannot use the patch, it says I got an "unknown version can cannot update"

To your first question: You have a version without starforce and can skip this step.

I've followed the guide step by step, the game still crashes. Normal missions seem to work but the campaign is not. everytime I try to go on a patrol, it crashes to the dekstop.

you probe play just with merged campaign no other mod

I did some more tinkering, it seems to work for now.
