That's another thing I'd like to see....completely random encounters. With convoys of different sizes (usually 15-60 ships) with different protection. Not scripted gameplay, where you always see the same ships at the same place. What I loved about "Aces of the Deep" and "Silent Hunter 3/4/5" was how sometimes you would see a huge convoy in a certain area....on another mission, you might find nothing. Or just a single ship. Obviously, in 1939 a convoy may just have 1-2 destroyers, or an armed merchant cruiser. By 1945, a convoy might have half a dozen escorts, and a Light Carrier Hunter/Killer group nearby, making it very dangerous for the player. These sorts of differences keep you coming back to play the game. |
