Default Torpedo Arming

Thanks a bunch guys, I wasn't sure and could not find it in the sinmple manual that came with the game, but my eyes are not that great for looking at that manual. :P It's sure nice of ya to help me. Robert

I just finished my 30th patrol and am having fun, but I have to play it as the easy level 'cause I don't know if I could deal with it being harder. Maybe sometime I'll give it a try. So because I play it easy, my renown doesn't grow much and I keep upgrading U51 (VIIB). I sunk a lot of merchants on that patrol and managed to stay out of the way of warships - there were 5 of them. I kept my periscope down as close to the water as I could and was all stop. I just let the merchants come and pop off what I could. I sunk one troop transport and crippled a second but the last torpedo I had missed, so it didn't count.

I am really interested in learning how to target manually and hope I can try that in one of the single missions. The manual on manual targeting is difficult for me to understand or comprehend.

What tools do I need to try this in the upgraded stock SH3?

I don't think I'm ready to go SH3 Commander just yet, or should I?
