Russian isnt the only one to do this but we only hear about it when they do it, Norway actively buzzes Russian waters with its spy ships other nations in NATO also have similar capability France's Dupuy de Lôme commissioned 2006 is a recent addition plus Norway is building new spy ships.

That's the thing. Over there, this is common place. There's always some military vessel passing close to somebody's waters.

But over here on the Island of North America, we flip out when Aeroflot flies into JFK. Ok not really, but being isolated like we are has formed such weird xenophobic attitudes.
