I want to remove the repair crew options. (How)

Can someone show me how to remove the small sub and crew slots etc and possibly place something in its place?

Regardling the crew slots.....

I have always wondered how to reduce that. By default some compartments just need too many men. Engine and motor rooms in specific. (not to mention the compartments are displayed in the wrong location on the IX boat crew screen) The massive crew requirements is one of the things that makes management with fatigue such a chore.

My point here is im not sure its possible to reduce or change them. I was taking a very close look at tonnage war, because i it "appeared" that teddybear had sucessfuly managed to reduce crew slots. I was all jazzed when i first saw this.

By apperance he did, but the reality is, after closer inspection if the (menu.ini file? i forget) , it was just an illusion. He inserted new graphics there so it looked like it had fewer crew spots. But in action you could still place crewmembers in the slots that were made to be not shown. . So i think while you can change the appearence in the crew management screen, im not sure if changing certain aspects of the functionatly is possible.
