I understand you just do a gut feeling pretty much zero gyro shot like you would hit an innocent birdy with a shotgun? Sometimes I think that if they had had a training procedure to learn it, submarines would have been better to have done that in the real war.

We had a great and very technical targeting system. But it depended on ship identification. The vast majority of enemy ships shot at during the war were grossly misidentified. Only radar saved their miserable butts from missing more than they did.

Too bad they didn't have simulation technology to expose the weaknesses of their methods and develop seat of the pants horse sense.
