Hi Redwake
Unlike SH3 and SH4 with Steam SH5 is a little more complicated because the game needs TDW's Generic File Patcher to make the game playable.
Without this application SH5 is unplayable whether you add mods or play the stock game.
This is because unlike SH3 and SH4 which can be played with Steam without too many problems Ubisoft introduced a forced Uplay account, internet connection for game verification, Tonnage Bar, and Campaign Icons to the SH5 game.
If you buy SH5 to day and you get a broken game with the tonnage bar and Campaign Icons broken.
Adding mods to Steam is not a problem.

It's not fershure fersertin, no bout a-doubt it, absotutely tomorrow, but supposedly it is. Last year it was the 22nd through Jan 2, so keeps yer ayes peeled matey! They usually include just about everything they have in the sale.

Alrighty then mate, I'll be praying it happens again soon Cuz if I play my cards right I can get both the add on to Sh4 and sh5...been warching let's play on youtube of sh5 and iv been drooling. Lol

I've been trying to watch for the Steam sale myself, because both of my boys could use a little more for Christmas, and the site has been having issues for a few hours now... I cannot tell if the "sale" has started, but my guess is "yes". It's a question still as to what is in the special bin... "Error 503 Service Unavailable" and I can't even go directly to a game's page... wow

I looks like maybe Steam was attempting to post the specials, and everybody kept bombing them, almost like a DOS attack...

i just saw that the sale went into effect myself, I cant buy anything until the 24 but I'm stoked for it and yes I saw the u boats in the sh4 base version and was like wtf? special the type 21, I know that wasn't American lmao... silly devs not paying attention I guess. but woot! hear soon ill get the uboat add on and ill get sh5....but of course sh5 is gonna be a project due to the steam and forced u play problem. and on top of the fact I have zero modding experience, its going to make for a few interesting nights at my house.

Just be sure and follow Peter's advice. In fact, it'd be a good idea to start reading up on it now while you wait for the purchase time. I also know all about the proper formula used in funds disbursement when kids are involved. Mine are 16 & 14 now, and they're in the process of eating us out of house and home. Now, for some reason, somethin' to do with Christmas I'm sure, my wife feels led to take her 23 yo nephew in. He's 6'7" of eating machine! My gosh! A gallon a day just in milk! You should see what the young man can do with a large pizza!... But it'll be fun

Lol myn is 4 and 2, and they might as well be teenagers when it comes to food, and I had a tall friend to, he ate enough to cover the entire platoon i was in, we ended up calling him fridge for the rest of the time lmao.

TWOS is a very easy installation 120 mods and patches all in 1 base mod.
Like any version of SH its all about following the modders installation instructions.
TWOS is 99.99% proven to be ctd free.
