Tug boats are the worst - somehow they are so tough; I stopped engaging them because they drain ammo so badly.

Sweet tonnage. 71k is a great start. Gotta get yer crew all decorated and trained-up.

Well ive had more hairy patrols. With ALOT more plans bombing the piss out of me. I am surpised at some off the occurances that happend though.

The plane that bombed me, im pretty sure was a sunderland. As planes go he wasnt very fast. But he did thrash the aft compartment good. Normally planes dont scare me, but im running improved air power these days , and those bastards HURT now. Even if down to 30 meters ive had them rattle stuff loose. A direct hit from a plane now = 20- 30% HI. (ive had it happen to my U-333, good story on that one btw)

Hull integrity is 90%. Gunfire on merchants is unmodified. The IXD2 however, does have the most Hitpoints of any uboat, excepting maybe the XXI. However, I think that hit should have done a wee bit more damage.

On a side note i find it no coincidence it's all been in the aft compartment. Crash diving an IXD2, sure the bow can be down 10-12 meters, but your stern's still broached. It likes to linger there a couple agonizingly long seconds.


I finished the patrol this morning before work. Ill finish the log sometime tonight after work. Also think im going to install the unfied campaign mod (aka HT 1.48)
