Vaccine Myths Debunked - Or have they been?

Brian Hooker has had many of his studies retracted because they were conducted very poorly. He treated a case study as a cohort study and manipulated the data to fit his predetermined hypothesis. His hypotheses simply hold no merit and have repeatedly been proven false. In fact, most of the claims made by the health advice blog have no links at all. It makes many, many, many claims about everything from the toxicity of methylmercury, to documents proving the "CDC knew about the correlation between vaccines and autism". I'm having a very hard time finding any of these "facts" or documents they speak of. It's extremely difficult to take that website seriously at all, because it looks to be very heavily biased with little in the way of proof, links, or hard evidence.

There is no reputable data linking autism to vaccines. Considering that there is a minuscule amount of Thiomersal in vaccines, and that you don't receive very many vaccines, it would be a huge stretch to suggest that link without the consistent studies to prove direct correlation between vaccination and autism. Many people who want to prove this correlation tend to be parents of autistic children. Many of these parents believe that their child developed autism immediately after being vaccinated, which would be a very extreme, sudden, and unprecedented reaction to such tiny amounts of methylmercury, considering that eating certain foods expose people to even higher levels of mercury and no significant effects take place. Eating fish can expose you to much higher levels, depending on the fish and where it lived. It is simply too much of a stretch, with current data, to suggest that there is a correlation between vaccines and autism.

The real threat from mercury is from pollution, especially coal power plants. Mercury toxicity is most prevalent in places like china where they rely on coal power, and eating too much fish around there can cause mercury to build up faster than it can be expelled. In pregnant women this can cause birth defects. These are the sources that have the most prevalence to our health, not the tiny amounts we receive from the few vaccines we receive in our lifetimes.
