This is what a .357 Air Gun does at 100 yards.

I'm no longer a Chat Mod at GTA.
I've been promoted to a Full Mod now.

Added several new Guns and sold a few.
I have the Marauder in .22 now and a Very Nice Diana 48 on it's way.

43 yard shot with a .25 Hatsan AT44 Long.
That is what is left of a Mississippi House fly!

Default Stay away from Gamo Scope

I have two Gamo air rifles and neither of them shoot straight. The POI shifts and I blame the Gamo Scope not holding up to the shock of the Inert Gas Technology System.

Scopes can be the cause of POI shift.
However!

There's a whole lot more that can actually be the cause.
A bad piston seal, a crappy crown, breach seal going bad, loose stock screws, just to name a few things.

I can point you to a dedicated Air Gun Forum with some of the best minds and talent out there if you'd like.

And I'm a Moderator there also.

I actually find any of the gas pistons a little less harsh on scopes.
The Wire spring guns get a forward and backward slam when fired. Both very harsh.
Not to mention the twist the cheaper ones can have.
The Gas springs tend to have just the solid forward slam.
The NP2 system from Crosman has even less of a slam due to the built in shock absorber behind the piston seal.
