Steinbeck, welcome back! When you first start playing the game again you'll want to be able to spend most of your time learning controls and getting automatic reflexes again. I would recommend starting with Webster's Game Fixes Only mod. If you want to eventually to for a difficulty mod (TMO), then you might load up my TMOKeys mod, which will give you the same keyboard commands as TMO.

That should fix you for a bit. I find GFO a great, fun mod to play. When you want difficulty I'd recommend TMO, Trigger Maru Overhauled. It will punish you.
