I know it's not about GWX, but the troubleshooting is all for a GWX copy. The person has GWX and I don't. I don't want GWX because I really hate how it's map system works >.> I torpedo'd a Nazi ore carrier my first mission using it because everything showed up as black. I personally really enjoy my Red green and blue markers

TBH, it sounds like at this stage you've dumped a lot of files directly into your game install. And manually edited files. You should uninstall and reinstall the game. Then download JSGME from here. Unzip the file and put all the JSGME files (MODS folder, jsgme.exe etc.) into your SH3 main folder.
From now on, any mod you want to install goes into your MODS folder, which is located in the SH3 root folder. Make sure that the folder structure for the mod is correct. Inside the MODS folder, there should be a folder with the name of the mod, and directly inside that folder, you should see a folder called "Data" and maybe some others. Sometimes it's just Data. For example like this: steam/steamapps/common/silent hunter 3/MODS/name of your mod here/data Mod authors are usually really good about having the folder structure properly setup so all you need to do is unzip the file and drop the mod into your MODS folder. If the data folder is not directly inside the mod folder, the files will go to the wrong place when you enable the mod with JSGME. Once you've put the mod in the MODS folder, run JSGME and the mod should show up in the available mods list. Select it and click on the arrow icon that points to the opposite window. This will enable the mod in the game. What it does is it takes all the files of that mod in the MODS folder and copies them into the game. But the benefit is that you can also disable the mod easily with JSGME, so if something goes wrong, your install won't be ruined. This way you can try mods you're insterested in without permanently altering your game install. Hope this helps you out. Last edited by jonmar; 03-05-16 at 03:36 AM. |

Update
I put the JSGME Blitzkreig into both the SH3 Document folder, and the main SH3 programs folder. Mods are in the JSGME Mod File, still no luck. Brand new file. I have cleaned the file again, so it is once again the basic. I will be downloading the link Jonmar posted and do the same thing with that. I will update this post with outcome. Update Can't download the file in the link, as I don't have access to it so it would seem. |

The JSGME files go into the main SH3 folder. That's in steamapps/common.
Don't put the entire JSGME folder in there. Open it, and put everything you find inside it, into steamapps/common/silent hunter 3. The files you put in the SH3 folder are the JSGME program files and the MODS folder. So you should have: steamapps/common/silent hunter 3/MODS steamapps/common/silent hunter 3/jsgme.exe and so on. There are a few more files but I can't remember their names right now. If your version of JSGME didn't come with a MODS folder, you can just make one yourself. Make a shortcut of jsgme.exe to your desktop. Put your mods inside the MODS folder as in my previous post. Then run JSGME from your desktop and enable the mods. The mods are not going to work until you enable them in JSGME. Also, when disabling mods always disable them in order. If you pick a mod from the middle of your mod list and disable it, you'll mess up your install. If that happens, just disable all your mods and enable them again. |

Also, just in case, go to the properties of jsgme.exe, open the compatibility tab and check "run this program as an administrator". Click Apply and then exit the properties. That should prevent you from running into any problems caused by Windows UAC. You only need to do this if your Steam install is inside your Program Files (x86) folder. |
