I'm interested in Silent Hunter 4 and Sub Command sims. I'd like to know where to download Silent Hunter 4 mods, especially of cold war subs

I've noticed this site does not support Gary Grigsbys War in the Pacific which does feature submarines but I guess its more strategy than sim.

My city suburb of New Farm in Brisbane, Australia did host submarines during ww2. I walk past the old sub base every day that reminds me of great sacrifice of crews.

I just live an hour up north along the coast from Brisvegas.

As for SH4 Mods, here you go. Not sure if there's any Cold War stuff in there.

Hi Gaxsax, welcome to Subsim and great first post.

We try to review and cover every game with naval elements, but there are some we have missed. I would love to hear your thoughts about War in the Pacific, would you be interested in jotting them down in a long format? If so, I would post them as an article in Subsim.

WITPAE is a superb grand strategy WW2 naval game developed by Gary Grigsby. Almost every historical ship and captain is included. All aspects of submarine warfare is highlighted. The ground and air war is also covered. Logistics is meticulously simulated.

Play as the admiral of the Pacific fleet instead of just a captain in most naval sims.The grand campaign covers the complete war between Japan and Allies.

Highly recommended game for any serious naval buff.
