The trouble with the game and its video Resolutions/Aspect Ratio is the fact that the game developers never dreamed the game would play on the type of screens we have today. In 2003-2004 when both SHIII and its planned off-shoot SH4 were designed, an 18" analog Cathode Ray Tube monitor the size and weight of a cinder block was sitting on our desk tops. It had but one aspect ratio....a 4:3. Flat screen LCD's were just a pipe dream. Today, with the various LED's available, all sorts of Resolutions/Aspect Ratios can be had, making the short comings of the game mechanics rear its ugly head. Don't be surprised that losing your stop watch is the only thing you'll have go wrong!

That being said, the "menu_1024_768.ini" file you've pointed to (by the way, 1024x768 is a 4:3 aspect ratio.....see the age of the game files?) is found in the game's "Data\Menu" folder. Open it with your Windows Note Pad and drill down to find the [G29 I2] section to make your changes in the "Zone=" line. Remember to "save" your text changes before exiting the file.

To specifically make your changes, do it to your TMO menu_1024_768.ini file AFTER removing it from activation in JSGME (remember to remove the RSRDC_patch1 first.....then RSRDC_v502 next, before removing the TMO mod). By changing your TMO's menu_1024_768.ini file, you won't run the risk of messing up your stock game files. Reactivate the mods and the change should bring back the stop watch into view.

My only hesitation is......what else is out of view by using the resolution/aspect ratio you're using!?
