Sid Meier's Pirates
I hadn't played this in years, so I re-installed it on my new computer and it runs great. I forgot how fun this game is. The only problem, I installed it at the beginning of my work week, so I didn't go to bed early.
aaarrrgh.

Ramius brought this game up somewhere else a little while back and I promised him that I'd check it out; I told him I'd just passed up a really cheap copy in a charity/thrift shop, put off by the graphics on the box. My bad, methinks... ha-haarrr!

I think that "Somewhere else" was this Thread, Einhörnchen. Of course, I've forgotten most of my threads that I've made, so, you know...

I have it on steam, but i prefer the old C64 game. I do not know, but dancing stuff is not why i play pirates. Only thing the PC version is better at than the C64-version is the land battles.

I totally agree, the same applies to the CPC 6128 version.Even nowadays I sometimes prefer the Amstrad version (through emulator) to the PC version. |
