HELP PLZ: The internet connection experiences problems, and the current game...

i have the steam version.... you need to follow this instructions

correct. does not work with steam but after you follow this instructions above me you can use your SH5 Steam installation with tdw too

Thank you soooooo much for taking the time answering all this.

As Sjizzle recommended, I disabled Windows Firewall, Defender, and also MalwareBytes. That did not do anything. Problem is the same.

kobiwaldi, I followed step by step your instructions (Thank you Dude for the kind in-depth help)... still the same.

1. I click on New Campaign... it goes to the Captain name selection screen
2. I click OK and it goes to the Mission Screen (first mission)
3. I click START MISSION and it goes to the "Loading" Screen (with the small radar looping on the bottom right)
4. After about... 20 seconds or so, BAM!!!!! I have that "Internet connection experiences problems..." screen again...

This is so retarded that one would encounter so many problems to play a simple freaking game... (and when I look around, I can read that a ****load of peeps run into probs...

Anyhow... I thank you all for your help. At this point I just give up. Gonna ask Steam for a refund. ...

this is an old Ubisoft problem with they crapy system.....i know some players have this problem with the latest ubisoft games and how they fix it i am not allow to talk here about that kind of fixes.

Same thing happened to me after adding Wolves of Steel mod
UBISOFT UPLAY digital download install (not Steam or another 3rd party installer) Add Steel Wolves mod applying the TDW's Generic patcher patches

--AVAST ANTIVIRUS may keep sh5.exe from launching, giving an error that the game is not installed (UPLAY) or you do not have permission rights, or Windows cannot find type errors (SH5.exe directly) TURN OFF Avast shields for about 10 minutes

--Also this mod has WINDOWED MODE enabled by default (unlike vanilla). So if you have a tiny game screen tile on your desktop before looking for screen fix mods, or changing monitor resolution, inside the game go to options then select FULL SCREEN MODE .

You must update the game to v.1.2.0 and then install the TWoS mod to play the game. Without this mod you can cheerly assume that the game is UNPLAYABLE.

Took Uplay offline as suggested... same crap... I give up Man. This is utterly ridiculous
