Default Mapping Keys

Hi all. I have just got a new laptop to run SH4 but I've run into a problem, there is no num pad & I can't use time compression without having to use the mouse. So I don't have a quick way to snap back into real time when I run into contacts.
Is there a way to map the controls to keys I want?

In my game, 'Backspace' takes it back to 1x. Try that.

There is a way to remap keys, but I've never done that.

I run on a regular Desktop PC, so dunno if this works for you, but my ESC key pauses the game and opens the 'Load/Save/Options' menu. It also drops you to 1x time when you return to the game, so I just hit ESC twice anytime I want to drop to 1x time.

I am a little bit behind since I just got on the forum, but I know in SH1, hitting Shift+ adjusted TC up and - adjusted it down. Don't know how it works in SH4, I just bought the game yesterday. Don't know whether you can actually map controls or not.

there is several key mapping programs that you can use. I use SH_Keymapper- just enter that in search. there is several that
Rockin Robbins has made also. his stuff is really great also.
as I said, just put in key mapper in search and take your pick.
