Hmm I get kind of a semi start up in Win 10,, I have Up play from the Boxed start up, online turned off and I get the start up video sequence and that's it, when it ends nothing more happens.

I am having the same issue. The intro will come on in the top left with no sound or anything. Once into is over it goes back to uplay and not to the game. Once you hit play game in uplay it does the same thing

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

first hello all fellow subsim fans

if you want to run silent hunter 4 and 5 with windows 10 you have to right click on the .exe file sh4/5.exe and go to compatibility then you have a new point in windows 10 its called something like high dpi upscaling, check this box, the game should now start. I had the same problem, the game didnt pop up, it was only viewable in the taskmanager.

Use this advice and also start the game in administrator mode. Clean install of Windows 10 and clean install of silent hunter 4 and 5. SH5 crashed.

But the advise of exxis AND adminstrator mode: It works great.

Thank you Harmsway! for your answer of 08-24-2015 to download the UbisoftGameLauncher. I have not run SH5 for some years, and have changed PC also, so I had to install the game again. But it did not start until I found your advice!
