OK OK, here we go: Man comes home from the doctor: "That was awful. I had to give a urine, fecal and sperm sample". Wife: "why did not you just give him your old brown cord jacket that you keep wearing each and every day?"- Seriously, visible blood in the stool very likely means haemorrhoids, "not visible blood" could mean cancer, for that test you need to send stool samples to the laboratory where they use chemicals to find that out. You see, I am not only bricklayer but also a proctologIst.

I'm not any expert in this field.

It could have been a smaller things like haemorrhoids but his case-it was cancer. well developed. It must have started with very litte blood.

Edit- most of his stomach was removed he was on the operation table for several hours(can't remember how many)

Me neither. I am no proctologist nor am I bricklayer. But I am 40+ (of age) and I do get a medical check-up "for free" each year because I have a health insurance which I pay for. They will remove part of my thyroid in the hospital soon because they found a cold thyroid nodule which has a 5 to 10 % chance to turn out to be cancer. Thank you health care system.

Here in Denmark every person who reach the age of 50 gets a free exam they get some stuff send by the mail and they have to take an example from their "doings" and send it back to be investigated.

I have after my brother-in-law(we call him that today, no they aren't married) done an exam my self-in addition to chronic gastritis, I also have a hernia in the lower part of my esophagus, but otherwise my stomach is OK.

I had before this exam a talk with my own doctor and he said

Most of those who go to they doctors after they have found blood in they "doings" are to late. So he told me it was, due to my age, important that I kept and eye on my "doings" and not just do my job and leave the mens room.

Something similar is done in my area of the UK and is called 'The Well Man Clinic'.

I can get a free exam anytime, as long as I have a note from the doctor.
The older I get, the more times the doctor will prescribe one.
Even at my thirties, I'm long overdue for one

I can see I made my self a little unclear-

It is free with no cost to visit your doctors or a specialist-In Denmark. By automatic every male person who reach the age of 50 gets a "invitation"

No not at all, you came across as clear as crystal. I receive an 'invitation' every six months via the postal system but as yet, to my shame and stupidity, I have yet to go.
