Had the same problem. I have AMD and scalled all games to full screen still black bars were displayed (I do not know how scaling works in Nvidia or that it exists)
I solved it by using another version of the d3d9 dll |

Hi mates,
might have a workaround for this issue. My PC is equipped with two 24" TFT monitors and I want to have the second screen in its original size, whereas the first one should be switch to 1360*768 when playing SH3. I found a tool, "DisplayChanger2", which does exactly what I want See the examples and switches how to use. Regards Blueduck |

I started to use a program called Ultramon. Lets you create shortcuts amongst other things. You can then set the shortcut to change res before launching SH3, it will then change it back to your default desktop resolution when you exit.

Hi Fitzcarraldo,
I can not post or send you my config because it depends on the GC and the monitor('s). Download dc2.zip and unzip to a folder "close" to your SH3-installation. Use dc2.exe or dc2x86.exe depending on your windows version (64/32 bit). Then do the following steps: - your monitor is set to 1360x768 - create a desktop-link for your dc2.exe, open its properties and change its address to D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\dc2.exe -create=1360x768.xml - change your resolution to 1920x768 (windows) - edit the link address to D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\dc2.exe -configure=1360x768.xml D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\_LSH3_v15\sh3.exe This link could now be used to start this SH3-installation with the desired resolution. "D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\" is the path where my dc2.exe is located "D:\Spiele\UbisoftLiving\_LSH3_v15\" is the path of my SH3-installation Regards Blueduck Last edited by blueduck; 07-21-15 at 04:25 PM. |
