Enemy Subs

On my first patrol I found one in the north of Poland. I could not lock the target so I could also not identify the ship by my officer. It was smaller then my uboot and had no flag. It turned in circles on the water. I surfaced the uboot and shoot one deckgun shot at him: No reaction, just turning circles... After that I shipped on and suddenly the uboot follows me

After about 1h a destroyer is coming right at me. I submerged but he knew exactly where I am and came right after me... and didn't attack the other uboot that was still surfaced.

What was going on? What kind of uboot was this? Why didn't it attack me? And if it was on my side, why didn't the destroyer attack it?
