Some will quarrel with me for saying this, but if you are asking about this, you're not ready for TMO. The mod was designed to be difficult.

GFO is just what the name implies; it fixes the major game bugs.

RFB changes the game to provide a realistic game.

TMO takes some liberties to make the game more challenging.

All are good mods, but they do different things.

Thx , that sum it up pretty well for me. I dont want a more difficult game right now. So it will be between GFO and RFB, cant i have both ?

Both are multi-faceted mods; i.e. mega-mods. Use one or the other. Mixing mega-mods is sure to cause problems.

Mods work by changing out specific game files. If you were to enable GFO, then RFB, RFB would be overwriting some/most of the files GFO already changed. This would not make your game better. You would just have a hodge-podge of changes, that were neither GFO or RFB.

I would recommend these:

RFB_2.0 .................................................. .......(Real Fleet Boat)
RFB_2.0_Patch_23April2010
RSRDC_RFB_V575 .......................................(Run Silent Run Deep Campaign)
RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1
Improved Ship Physics 2.15 .......................(with Patch)

This provides many improvements with only five mods.

RFB (Real Fleet Boat) aims to achieve the most realistic gameplay and changes many elements.

RSRDC (Run Silent Run Deep Campaign) changes shipping traffic and missions to historical volume/pattern. Stock has excessive traffic and isn't well configured.

ISP makes the diving, turning, acceleration, battery performance, and sea-keeping of your boat more realistic. Make sure you read the documentation and install the patch, if you use it.

Note that you must have v1.5 of Silent Hunter 4 to run these mods (as most others).

Thx again, i'm still playing stock, but i will probably install these mods very soon. The game is already playable as it is. Just cant wait to see the changes these mods will provide.
