Nuclear submarine on fire at Russian shipyard

A Russian nuclear submarine has caught fire in a shipyard, according to news agency RIA Novosti.

A source told the Interfax news agency: "There is a fire on the submarine.

"We are fighting the fire now."

anybody else like the fact that is was an Oscar II and in the article they show a Delta IV. Well this is going to be another setback in Russia's naval upgrade program. I wonder what caused it this time.

Whilst in dock at the Zvezdochka shipyard on 7 April 2015, it was reported that a fire broke out "in the ninth section of the sub close to the stern".

The fire was caused by insulation materials catching fire during welding. It was reported the submarine did not have nuclear weapons or fuel onboard at the time
