Wolves of Steel Black Screen

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere. I followed directions on the Wolves of Steel 1.03 installation and whenever I start SH5, I get a black screen and seemingly a broken loop of music.

Anyone else see this issue and know how to fix it? Help is appreciated, thanks.

Just wait a little longer, it can take a few minutes at the first run.

I did the exact same thing! Needed only to wait another 60 seconds or so!!

I have the same problem. It occurs only with this mod, the base game works fine. Waiting doesn't solve it.

Some things I've tried:

Changing compatibility to win 7
Changing compatibility to ban DPI adjustment
Changing main.cfg as per this guy's pasting (resolution on ubisoft intro video still seems fine)
Changing that then to windowed mode
Running as administrator
