Yes I sea the Schnellboote pass. The only thing I have installed is the 1.6 patch.

I'll try on a completely stock install

Still no joy on a fresh stock install, I can complete all the missions except the second one, I only get 2 radio messages, the first one to steer through the channel (I followed a bearing of 157 degrees on the compass, basically following the torpedo boats), and the second one to go to periscope depth, but that's all.

Seems impossible to complete the second mission, I don't know what to do!

The Navigation course should be the first mission. What do you have listed as 'First'?

I'll have to check the wording when I get home, but the first task on the Navigation Tutorrial I think was entering the strait (which I can complete), the second task is passing through the strait (which never completes, even well after I've passed through it), then there's a task to go to periscope depth (which I can complete) and then to 25 metres (which I can also complete)
