Good to see it was released back into the water, some aquarists make the mistake of adding them to their aquariums whist very young but they soon outgrow even the largest of tanks.

In North America there are Channel Catfish they can grow to become very large as well. There are several South American species of catfish and other types as well that grow very large. I've heard there are a rivers in Spain and Portugal with large cats.
