 That's heartbreaking, and I say that as a total non-trekkie. Nimoy was a brilliantly talented actor and director, bar none - and his Spock stands as perhaps the most important character in all of sci-fi. I've always enjoyed watching him on screen and his directing work is outstanding too. Film and sci-fi is poorer without him. He will indeed be dearly missed!
