I'm coming back to SH3, not having played it since... 2006! At that time there were no supermod. I was very surprised to see how active the modding had been since then. The first thing I found (because it was the first thread in the forum) was LSH3 5.1, which I have installed and run very smoothly. It really looks like a new game and I was impressed. I was half expecting to be disappointed by old graphics, like with Jane's 688(i). Back in 2006, I was enjoying a lot a series of mods that had been bundled into what was called "realism pack" or something like that. It was what was the most hardcore at that time. So, now, according to your explanation, I think I should go for NYGM...

NYGM was developed from that pack, I think. You should also pick h.sie's v16 and Stiebler's 4c for added difficulty and restrictions on the things the boat will be able to do. Rudewarrior's Just Follow Orders mod will be nice too, adding difficulty as that gives you the sometimes hard to follow orders that BdU gave the real U-boats.

![]() I believe NYGM started life as an extension of Beery's Real U-Boat, the first supermod for SHIII. Quote:
![]() And don't forget SH3 Commander. It's more than a mod, and does for your career what all the others do for your game. It's the ultimate must-have.
