The thin red line you refer to is your patrol area. Use your mouse wheel and it will become bigger. Use your ruler and draw lines through the red line so when the red line disappears you will know where your patrol boundary is. You should be on or inside the red line. This is between the coast and the patrol area. It also sounds that you might have a tonnage bar problem. Check your Captains Log (Hat) and look at the ships you have sunk which should you some data. If you see all zero’s then you have a corruption and you might as well abandon this patrol but delete any saves that relate to the patrol. Use your last Autosave In Base to go back to the Flotilla Leader and try again. If you still have the same problem then delete all saves and start a new campaign. All green contacts on your map are neutral ships so do not sink these. I do not think you are doing anything wrong. Peter
