didn't see number 2 in the cinema's ,(thankfully),but rented the dvd ,turned it off after less than an hour and now regret thats time I'll never get back ,so can't be bothered to see the new one -how jackson can bugger this story up so much after the great job he did with lord of the Rings is a mystery!!

By stretching it out into three movies is how. The second one just sucked it was so boring over much of it. Endless narrow escapes and running, and running, and running.....

Sure I liked some parts but overall it was a big yawn. Maybe this one will be better but I'll wait until the Blu-ray is out.
