I'm quite confident that next time there will be. Now they have to treat her equally with her adult competitors. Otherwise this will be discrimination by age which is illegal although chances of court forcing her selection is essentially nil.

The assistants and bureaucrats will be doing all the real huffing and pushing. Thats correct. Same practical rules apply as if adult nutjob gets into office.
