just stop the engine and wait ... wait ... wait ... until inertia is killed.
If you are in a hurry, and don't have towed array extended, use back 1/3 to accelerate the process. If you want to lay on the ground, wait until you slow down to 1 knts before touching the floor, or you will damage the ship. |
