I love sweets and chocolate and have the missing teeth to prove it.

You mean that's not the result of typical Brit dental hygiene?...

I resent that remark! My hygienist once told me (her exact words) "Your standard of dental hygiene is extremely high"

Two questions:

1. How long ago was that remark;

2. Is the standard vis-à-vis Brit standards?

When you talk about the devil.

The main reason to why I wrote this thread was the heat in some other thread here in GT. I thought that we needed to talk about things that ain't political, religious a.s.o, about things we all like.

We have had threads about different types of food and drinks.

Was chewing on some Katzen Pfötchen which gave me the idea.

Back to this devil

Was earlier today looking at the TV-schedule for some of my TV-channels I have and on one of our public TV-channel(DR2) there is a subject about sweets/Candy and just some minutes ago I finished watching a documentary starring Brian Cox, it was about the history of Sugar.

And right now it's the history of chocolate.

+1

A fan of the Lindt too.
The darker the better.

If I want sweet, then a dark rum 'n raisin, or roasted almond.

Or a nice caramel.

I said to my wife just the other day that whoever discovered the magic combination of chocolate and vanilla ought to be rewarded.

I love chocolate (Lindt for choice also) but anything with both of the above is the tops.

Good idea for a nice gentle thread.

I am generally not a big fan of candy, but I do confess to liking Peanut/almond MMs.

Just that my Dr. would not approve.

That's where I'm just the opposite. I hate most nuts, but I love peanuts, which of course aren't actually nuts. While I love peanuts, especially the dry-roasted kind, I hate peanuts in ice cream and candy.

I do agree about Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Delicious!
