problem installing sh5 from disk

hey ive had the steam version of sh5 but i uninstalled it and bought the disc version but when i put it in an the auto-run comes on it wont let me install the game and when i go to uplay it acts as if i already have it installed and when i press uninstall the game is no where to be found because i already uninstalled it so i would really appreciate the help because i love this game and i want to use the mods

That's because uplay has the game tied to the steam launcher. I had sh5 for steam and then got the amazon download one. My uplay still had it set to steam. What I did was to go to my uplay library that shows all of the games you own from them. Found two icons for sh5. One was the steam and the other was for the amazon. See if you got two icons of the game in your library.
