Milkman, I followed your advice. I nulled creak files 1 to 3. Creak4.wav I attenuated 10 dB, so I still get some sound at depth, but just soft ticks and pops. Don't know how to make it play only during transitions. The boat is now quiet when running silent.
BTW, I don't think the creaking is literally from Hollywood. I think it is straight from the sound track of Everyone's-Favorite-Sub-Movie-That-We-Know-Is-Realistic-Because-It-Wasn't-Made-In-Hollywood. I can't recall ever hearing the creaking in a Made-in-Hollywood sub movie. |
