Default How to import/export obj-files in 3dsmax 7

hello

i´ve read the tutorial of working with 3dsmax written by seeadler but my browser doesn´t show the pictures. so i don´t now what i have to set in the import and export dialogue. he alo wrote something about the material editor but i can´t find it. so i hope someone of can give me a tutorial with pictures i can see or only writte words. thank you

well,you have to extract the correct .dat file, from which you want to use the model/textures. For example, if you want the IIA file, go to C/ProgramFiles/UbiSoft/SHIII/data/submarines/IIA and then choose the dat file.

No sorry

i knew how to export obj files from dat files. the problem is how to import them into 3dsmax, work with and export them. after changing the model i export it and these exportet file doesnt work in sh3 after importing it into a the correct dat file. when i take a look into thechanged obj file with notepad there are for example not 19 vertex tecture coords but 57. but there have to be more less. the problem is that 3dsmax doesnt import correctly or export correctly. so i need to know how i have to set the import and export dialogue settings.
