Default Hilarious commercial: Ford vs Cadillac

http://www.businessinsider.com/ford-...-2014-3#!CfaaP

Does FORD "destroy" Cadillac in this exchange? What't the message here, which one is "better"? I had to laugh. I see what Ford is trying to do, but its hard to take it seriously. Gimme them vegetables!

Are you the Cadillac or the Ford? (Or of course, neither).

I thought both ads were lame.

GM ad was douchey... "We're the only ones going back". Oh really? In what? The fireball that erupts when your ignition key tries to kill me?

The Cadillac ad was the sum of every stereotype we Europeans have about the Americans. Only the lead character was about 100kg short

loved the Ford's were not egoists like the rest of the world thinks approach

Ford roofs aren't too good.
Ford is also experimenting with another option for the 2015 model year for F-150s and up. It is a heated tailgate, for when you have to push it home in winter.

I have to admit it, I prefer Fords over GM's. Even though I drive a Jeep. It is what I needed at the time. Because my Lincoln wouldn't climb the slight slope in my driveway in winter.

Check the history of Ford...

I've seen the home that Henry Ford owned when he got started in the auto biz and it has a bit of a checkered past. Like union organizers that went in and came out the tunnel leading to the orchard out back. Let's just say that they didn't leave under their own power.
Funny thing. Now they say that the unions saved their butts when the recession hit and bankrupted GM and Chrysler.
I've worked on many brands of automobiles and Fords are the worst from the mechanics point of view. I think they're using monkeys as engineers.
If you don't accept that, try changing the spark plugs on a V-8 Mustang.
Go ahead. I've got plenty of band-aids. Or a Ranger pickup that has two sets of plugs and requires removal of the engine to reach the second set.
Clever ads will never sell me a car. Especially a Ford.

By the way Henry, the 70's called and they want that afro back.

Both attempting to appeal to a certain group of people. I'm neither Caddy or Ford. Buick by nature.

Wasn't overly impressed with either advert but I do have a Ford Focus.

The best ad for a Ford is my fathers Mondeo.

Busted suspension, an overworked engine, stuffed turbine, loose parts and the eletronic MayGyvered to oblivion.
And the thing refuses to die

Are Ford mechanics an endangered species in Slovenia?

Sounds more like a Rollscanardly.
Rolls down one hill and can hardly get up the next.

Maybe a horse would be the better choice?
I hear they're set to make a come back.

INDEED! I rented the diesel turbo version in my death-defying traverse of the UK: Britain and Ireland, on the left side of the road for a whole month (I didn't kill any one!) Liked it enough to look it up in the states but can't get them(diesel) here...yet. I learned one of the great lessons: Don't drive in London and round-a-bouts are not for the 'faint of heart'. And they really should issue a magnet strip on the car rental back: "Beware: Yank Driver!" just to give the good Brit motorists a 'heads-up'. Talk about 'focus' BBY!

They're thriving.
It's just that the car is too far gone to be repaired in a economically viable way. But it's fighting to the last.

Roundabouts and 4 way stops.....He with the most balls goes first! Try a roundabout/traffic circle with a 53' trailer behind you. Somebody gets squeezed out IF they aren't paying attention.
