I will surely try this. Btw, is the GUI built up on MaGui, am I right?
Also, is it build up on GWX?

In any case, what a work
Just in case: I was referring to the content of the u-boot-hahd site... I didn't know about it!

Then makman94 posted the link to the youtube video of the real TDC...
Couldn't belive my eyes!
Yes, it's real, my god, he really did it!

I'm still searching on the floor for my dropped jaw...

Again, what a work sir

Call me a skeptic, but the timing of this (1 day before 4/1) has me dubious. How exactly are you getting the data out of the game to position the discrete dials?

In Flight sim there was a protocol and FSUIPC to do this sort of thing, but I'm not aware of anything like that in the SH games....

At the bottom of the first post you should see an SHIII picture with a YouTube logo in the bottom right hand corner.

If not...click on the link below.

I don't know why others aren't seeing it either. It works fine for me.

SH3Speech uses a python program to translate the voice commands into cursor movements. The cursor positions provide the numeric input to SH3.exe. You could use the same approach with encoders to generate cursor positioning commands to to the mouse tracking software. My WAG is that the solution data is generated internal to the TVR. The calculations are pretty simple.

However done, it's still quite a spiffy piece of work.

Sorry Guys, changed the first post in hope of fixing the issue with some people not seeing the link.
Don't know why - might have something to do with the fact I was using my album in subsim to host the image file for the link??? Anyway moved it to photobucket so hope that resolves that for everyone.

I see many are thinking this is an elaborate April Fools day hoax
Yes I can see why, infact I didn't even realise it was April fools day till I arrived at work this morning.

Trust me - I have been working on this for almost 2 years and still not finished.
A select few have been privy to this project, Hans and Manos among them and have seen firsthand the system running from the early days when it was just a single switch controlling the salvo switch in the sim.
Hard to believe that was a year ago, its come a long way since then.

I see some questions regarding Interfacing with SH3 and that its does not have a method to do so unlike MS FLight Sim and FSUIPC or Falcon 4 and its shared memory system.

And you are right SH3 does not have a system that does this - well it does now as I designed it. Took me a year to get that up and running and a lot of heartache.
But it works I have 100% full read/write from my Hardware to the SH3 software in both directions

My first proof of the system working was a Mod I made for Makman94 that implemented a TDC dial that was not present in SH3 - The Impact Angle dial.
This mod took control of an unused dial and was able to read the other relevant gauge values and with some calculation work out the value for the Impact Angle and then update that new dial.

So what does that mean for my system. Well you seen the video of the TDC in operation - works fully in both manual and Auto (Solution solving) mode.
And like the TDc I already have a working Torpedo firing Panel.
Not only that but I have control of most systems from Compass, clocks navigation lat/lon coordinates, periscopes etc.

I will be launching a new website (Temp version in place) with more details down the road so stay tuned for that.
You can bookmark it at www.sim2reality.com
