I don't think it's a mod-issue here.
These sightings of your own sub are probably generated by OHII (?)...and are purely "cosmetic", i.e. make the environment seem more interactive, sortof. So you're not really sighted at all. To disable these radio-messages, simply turn-off Sub-sighted messages in your radio-options.
