Default Fatigue problem

I am using gwx and commander, I play with no fatigue but in my current mission I have crew becoming tired and I could not understand why, I presumed I had started the game from my sh3/gwx shortcut so I saved and exited and restarted from my commander shortcut but I am still getting fatigue, any ideas?

I'm just starting to get slowly into the depths of SH3 but maybe check your SH3Cmdr.ini (look for FatigueModel=(e.g) 4) and Crew fatigue models.cfg (cfg folder of sh3 cmd) to compare first and to see if it actually saved your settings? Restart game/commander to see if the settings are changed?

Valoway's suggestion is a good one. Also, did you roll back Commander before initiating the changes? If not, the Commander automatically defaults to the old setting. Unless you are creating new mods it's easier and a better idea to keep Commander set to Auto-Rollback.

Can't complain when that happens.

Im wondering if when I saved and exited my crew were all tired, when I restarted via commander with no fatigue ticked the game started with them tired as from previous save but when I rested them they have not gotten tired again??? is this possible?

Yes, that's pretty much how it works. If you switch to "No Fatigue", the game loads with whatever fatigue levels you saved. It then allows normal recovery. Recovery is not zeroed out in the "No Fatigue" model. After recovering to normal, your crew won't fatigue any more.

IMO, none of the other fatigue models works properly. With all of them, you, as skipper, still have to micromanage the crew to keep them at peak effectiveness. That was the Einswo's job. It would be nice to have a fatigue model that only kicked in when at GQ, as is effectively done in SH4. Then the skipper would have to manage the amount of time spent at GQ, and the resultant strain on the crew - but wouldn't have to get involved otherwise. That's seems pretty close to the historical situation.

GWX has a fatigue model where fatigue only accumulates below TC 32. The idea here is that you keep TC up when not in critical situations. But I like to run approaches at TC 1, starting long before the call to Battle Stations.

Does anyone know if there is a way to create or simulate a fatigue model where fatigue only accumulates when at GQ?

Thanks for the info, I play with no fatigue because I do not want to be fiddling with the crew, with exception to the lazy watch officer, especially in a typeII where you dont have many spare hands.

h,sie's patcher V16B1-Patch-Kit

http://www.mediafire.com/download/27...1-Patch-Kit.7z

contains a fix for the "Lazy Watch Officer" bug. It does many other good things as well, and is compatible with any megamod. IMO, it's a must-have mod.

From what I have quickly read in the docs with this it is not as straight forward to install as some other mods, so I will have a go with it when I have a little more time.
Thanks Bert.

Indeed , it takes some time. But once it is installed it takes the game to another level.
Try it.
