Sound question for you guys.

The sound the sub makes when the bow hits a wave especially in rough sea's is that called "Bad Weather wave" it makes a spray sound from the bow of the boat. Why I ask is its driving me crazy. Its so loud its almost overbearing. I have turned said .wav file down to almost where you cannot hear it out of game with sound software but in game its hasn't adjusted the sound of that spray off the bow. So I guess I am asking is that not the right file or is that sound under a different file name.

Any advice would be awesome I have got to get that turned down. Its almost to the point that its making the game unpleasent. I am hoping its a different file that I need to turn down. If anyone happens to know what that .wav is please let me know.

Thank you.

Hard to do, since many files are not used, merely leftovers from SH3 they neglected to delete before packaging SH4. One example Dive sequence.wav, if you ever played SH2 or SH3 you'll remember the sound of people running down stairs, which of course was weird considering they dropped down a ladder. My trial and error method is to copy Submarine Bell.wav (also an SH3 file not used in SH4 but was included because of sloppiness) and save with a different name, then open the file I suspect of being the problem, turn the volume to zero and mix the bell wav file in. If I fire a gun and hear the bell instead of a bang, I know that one isn't the file I'm looking for and restore the original before moving on to the next one. Any wav file that sounds similar to the noise is worth a try.
